"Victoriana" in blue

I saw this pattern, "Victoriana," a few weeks ago in "Crochet Fantasy" October 1992 and bookmarked it because I knew I had to try it.  The pattern is only 29 rounds and isn't that difficult.  There is a round that is full of double-treble-crochet stitches that might seem difficult to the novice crocheter, but other than that, there isn't anything complex about it.

I used a 1.50mm hook with size 10 thread (Aunt Lydia's Classic Crochet in blue hawaii).  It came out to be about 15 inches in diameter. I had to make a few changes to a few rounds as I was working it because I found some parts a bit too tight, and the changes worked out perfectly.

This pattern only took me three days to complete. I'm really pleased with how it turned out, especially the color. And blocking it was pretty easy.
