This pattern was designed back in August but since it is so large, it took quite a long time to finish testing. When I started it, I wanted to design something big. I wanted to see how big I could go without getting frustrated with it, which is usually what happens if I try to design too large. Once you get to a certain point, you feel burnt out or unoriginal, and I didn't want that to happen.
Fittingly, I named this one Hera. It's regal and sophisticated and not for the beginner. It consists of 53 rounds and lots of interesting stitches. The suggested yardage for this piece is at least 900 yards.
Because of its size, it would make a lovely table-topper or centerpiece all on its own.
