List of Stitches & Terms

Whenever I publish a new pattern, I include a list of stitches and terms used in that specific pattern. This is a compilation of those and any links I have found with helpful videos or tutorials.

Pattern-specific stitch videos that I have made will not be linked here because they pertain to specific patterns.

SK skip
CH chain
SLST slip stitch
SC single crochet
RSC reverse single crochet; crab stitch
HDC half double crochet
DC double crochet
TC triple crochet (yarn over 2x)
DTR double treble crochet (yarn over 3x)
TRTR triple treble crochet (yarn over 4x)
QuadTR quadruple treble crochet (yarn over 5x)
CSDC chainless starting double crochet
CSTC chainless starting triple crochet
BP back post
FP front post
BLO back loop only
Cluster holding back the last loop of all stitches in cluster set, crochet the number of stitches into the stitch or space indicated, then y.o. and pull through all loops on hook; all the stitches in the cluster set are worked into the same location
Popcorn complete the number of stitches into the stitch or space indicated, then drop the loop from the hook; place the hook in the first stitch of the popcorn set, grab the dropped loop, and pull it through; all the stitches in the popcorn set are often worked into the same location
Together as one stitch this is one stitch that is crocheted by holding 2 or more stitches together; insert hook before the first one and come out after the last stitch to perform the entirety of this stitch
Unworked describes a stitch that has not been worked into or worked around
Decrease holding back the last loop of all stitches in decrease set, crochet the number of stitches into the stitches or spaces indicated, then y.o. and pull through all loops on hook; this is also called a "together" stitch
Large picot CH 5, SLST in 3rd ch from hook, CH 2
Small picot CH 3, SLST in 3rd ch from hook, CH 1
