When I was designing this pattern, I sought to incorporate as many decrease stitches (the "-tog" stitches) as I could to create lots of texture. Because of this, it is a great pattern for color-changing thread or even planned color changes. There is not a recurring motif that might be hidden by color changes.
The name of this pattern comes from one of the characters on Game of Thrones. If you've seen the show, you know who I'm talking about.
This pattern is 33 rounds and comes to about 16+ inches in diameter. Recommended thread yardage is between 400-450 yards. I used 62 grams of Ritorto Toscano thread given to me by my friend, Ula, from Poland. This thread is amazing! It's probably the strongest thread I've used and the sheen is gorgeous. She told me it's the only thread she uses, and I can see why.
